Capital One or Cotton?

If you asked me this question at the beginning of the season, I would have said either. Now I am getting greedy. I say Capital One and Ohio State all the way. Playing Ohio State would be great publicity for Ole Miss. Ohio State has one of the largest alumni bases in the country. They have numerous alumni in key media positions.

Most folks assume that Capital One will still choose Georgia because Georgia is a bigger named school and will bring more fans to the game. Not so fast.... Ole Miss always travels well to bowl games. In 2003 Ole Miss brought between 20 and 20K fans to Dallas for the Cotton bowl. The Ole Miss fans are pumped up and will follow its team to Orlando. Georgia fans are bitter for not making a BCS game. This is a disappointment as they were preseason #1 in the country.

I say, Cap One, take a chance on Ole Miss!

It's time Rebel Fans! Time to play the annual Mississippi classic. It's also time for payback! Or is it really payback? As a result of the State debacle last year we have a new coach, a better coach. It's finally fun to read the sports again.

Last year when I went on my yearly cruise, I watched Ole Miss lose a game they should have one against LSU in LA. This year, I was happy to see the Rebels blow out LSU while enjoying a last day of vacation in FLL. The Caribbean was wonderful by the way. What an end to vacation.

After almost a month of silence, the Hotty Toddy Blog is back. I want to apologize for the long delay but due to unforeseen circumstances I was unable to update the blog. Wow, what a month it's been. We are now on the verge of bowling for the first time in years. We have beaten Auburn and Arkansas. These are teams that usually give the Rebs difficult times. Nutt is rebuilding this program and I for one am proud to be a Rebel.

Bama week

After a difficult loss and a long off week it's time to once again get fired up. This week we have the chance to play giant killer as we invade Tuscaloosa this Sat.
After the last few season, we should be happy at being 3-3 this point in the season. But, I, along with many others are not happy with 3-3. I believe we should be 6-0, at best 5-1. We can't live in the past. We must press on. Our goal should always be to win the SEC. Yet, after the past few seasons getting to a bowl game this year would be quite an accomplishment.
